Key Features
PLUGIN AND THEME UPDATES
We’ll update your plugins and themes on a weekly basis and give your site a visual check over once it’s done. Ensuring that the update process doesn’t break anything. If it does, we’ll trouble shoot the error and either fix it, or roll back the update and inform you.
UPTIME MONITORING
We’ll monitor the uptime of your site and if we detect that it’s down we’ll alert you.
If you’re on our hosting then we’ll give you priority support and get you back up and running asap.
OFF SITE BACKUPS
We can provide additional offsite backups on a daily or weekly basis. Ideal if you’re not on your hosting and your current provider keeps backups on your local server.
Not required if you’re using our hosting as we do this for you anyway.
MAINTENANCE DASHBOARD
You will be given access to a maintenance dashboard and receive a monthly report showing exactly which updates we’ve done for you, ensuring transparency throughout the whole process.
PERFORMANCE REPORT
We’ll test the performance of your site using Google Pagespeed and include this on your dashboard and monthly reports. This will allow you to monitor how changes to your site may have impacted loading times.
DISCOUNTED DEVELOPMENT TIME
Pre book development time and receive this at a reduced rate. The time is tracked inside your maintenance dashboard so you can see how much you’ve used. Could be used for anything from swapping images, small design changes or posting blogs for you.

Do you only maintain sites you've built or host?
No, we’ll provide this service for anyone. We do need admin access to your site, but we can walk you through setting this up for us.
The maintenance is pretty easy, can't I just do it myself?
Absolutely! We even have a blog showing you exactly what you should be doing to keep your plugins and themes updated.
But, do you do them on a regular basis? Often it’s not the process of doing them that people struggle with, it’s just finding the time. And when you’re running a small business, time is money. Outsourcing the bits you don’t enjoy, or don’t find time to do, is just good business sense.
How do I get my reports?
You receive an invite to an online dashboard and you also get a PDF emailed to you on a monthly basis.
My uptime says it's only been up x days, but I know it's been longer than that?
Our system can only track the uptime from the moment it’s set up, so won’t show historic figures.
Should my uptime be 100%?
Ideally yes, but there is always some server level maintenance that needs to be done on every hosting solution and issues are not completely avoidable.
As long as outages are out of business hours and the average is still over 99% then there’s nothing to worry about.
My mobile speed is slow, should I worry?
Probably not is the answer. Although we show both the desktop and mobile speeds on our reports, pay closer attention to the desktop one.
This isn’t because most of the traffic is on the desktop, but because Google Pagespeed makes some incorrect assumptions when looking at mobile speeds. For example, it tests using a 3G connection (70% of mobile traffic in the UK is actually on fast WiFi!).
The desktop score is closer to real world speed tests.
