How to change URLs without causing 404 errors

If you decide to change a URL on your website you have to make sure that you’re not going to cause any 404 errors, if the page is indexed on Google, people may well find the old link for a couple of weeks before Google changes it, and you don’t want people landing on your 404 page instead of the page they’re looking for.

To do this, whenever you change a URL, or slug, we need to set up a redirect so that both links now work.

On WordPress, this is easily achieved with the Redirection plugin. Check out the video below to see how.
